SECURE · Private Vault Storage
Your gold should not have to leave Atlanta to be safe.
A concierge precious metals depository operating from our Chamblee office. Segregated client custody, dual-control access, and Jewelers Block insurance at declared value — and the only one of its kind between South Florida and Maryland.
What is SECURE
A private depository built for clients who prefer to know where their metal is.
SECURE is Alex Lexington's private vault custody service. Clients store gold, silver, platinum, and palladium in segregated, insured accounts at our Atlanta facility — never commingled, never lent, never shipped to a Texas warehouse or a Delaware industrial park. The metal stays here, you can visit it, and the same family that has been in precious metals since 1977 oversees its custody.
Segregated & Allocated
Your metal is held under your name and account number. It is never commingled with other clients' holdings, never lent to short the market, never substituted. The pieces you deposit are the pieces you withdraw.
Insured at Declared Value
Full insurance coverage at the actual declared value of your holdings, not a depreciated estimate. Current policy through a Jewelers Block program; transitioning to Lloyd's of London specie placement as our aggregate book grows.
Atlanta-Based, Family-Operated
Three generations of precious metals experience since 1977. The people who answer your call are the people who own the firm.
Why Local Custody Matters
The other private depositories are a thousand miles away.
There are perhaps a dozen retail-direct precious metals depositories in the United States. Almost all of them are in Texas, Delaware, Nevada, or Idaho. For Southeastern clients, "storing your gold" has traditionally meant shipping it via insured carrier to a warehouse you have never seen, in a city you will never visit, operated by people you will never meet. That is one valid choice. SECURE offers another.
Shipping to Texas or Delaware
- Metal travels via insured carrier; you trust the chain of custody you cannot see
- Annual fees of 0.40–0.65% — competitive because the depository operates at billion-dollar scale across multiple sites
- Audited statements, but no realistic ability to visit your holdings
- Withdrawal requires another insured shipment back; multi-day turnaround
- Customer service is a phone bank in a different time zone
SECURE at Alex Lexington
- Metal stays in Atlanta. You can drive to it. You can see the safe. You can verify your holdings in person on appointment.
- Annual fees ranging from 0.80% to 1.25% — premium-priced because we are a single-site concierge operator, not a national logistics company
- Same family running the firm answers your questions personally
- Same-day withdrawal by appointment for in-person pickup, or insured shipment on request
- Integrated with Alex Lexington's INVEST and INDULGE verticals — you can buy, store, refine, or sell within one relationship
An honest acknowledgment about price.
We charge more than Texas Bullion Depository, IDS Group, or Delaware Depository. Those institutions operate at $1 billion or more in aggregate coverage across multiple sites, which earns them institutional insurance rates and lets them charge competitive client fees. We are a single-site Atlanta operator building toward that scale, and our insurance economics today reflect that.
The premium funds the things that distinguish us: in-person access, concierge service, a family who answers the phone, integration with our trading and jewelry verticals, and the simple fact that your gold is fifteen minutes from your home rather than a thousand miles away. For clients who value that combination, the math works. For clients who do not, the national depositories remain a sound choice and we are happy to refer.
Annual Storage Fees
Transparent pricing. One rate, whole balance.
Segregated custody at our Chamblee office. Your total declared value sets your bracket, and that one rate applies to everything you store — so you can check the arithmetic yourself.
SECURE Concierge
In-person service. Custom bullion selection. Appointment-based vault access.
How the bracket works. Your total declared value sets your bracket, and that one rate applies to the whole balance — fees are not layered or stair-stepped. A $500,000 gold account pays 1.00% on the full $500,000: $5,000 per year. One rate, one multiplication. Because each bracket’s rate applies to the whole balance, crossing into a higher bracket lowers the rate on the entire account.
Mixed holdings. Your combined declared value sets the bracket; each metal is then charged at its own rate within it. $400,000 gold + $200,000 silver = $600,000 total, which is the Preferred bracket — so $4,000 on the gold and $3,000 on the silver, $7,000 per year. Silver is priced at 1.5× the gold rate because it occupies roughly that much more vault space at equivalent value.
Annual minimum. $300 for gold-predominant accounts, $400 for silver-predominant accounts. One-time initiation fee: $50. Billing & renewal: storage renews on a standard August cycle — invoiced July 15, due August 1 — or on your signup anniversary if you prefer. Fees are based on declared value and payable by ACH or wire, annually, semi-annually or monthly by election.
Flagship accounts above $5,000,000 are quoted individually. The published rate is the standard starting point; coverage structure and custody arrangement are confirmed in writing at intake.

Access & Consultation
Personable, but time is precious.
The Maverick assistant in the Maroon app handles routine questions instantly. A brief phone call handles most of the rest. The conversations that warrant in-person time, we structure deliberately so we can give them our full attention.
For Maroon Clients
$35 · 30 minutes
Verify your accumulated holdings in person, by appointment. Booking through the Maroon app or our office.
For Prospects
$100 · 35 minutes
A focused meeting with our team. We answer your specific questions about SECURE, walk you through how the service works, and discuss whether it fits your situation. If you decide to engage, the $100 is credited toward your SECURE initiation fee or your first INVEST or INDULGE transaction with us. Valid for 90 days.
For Strategic Work
$485 · per hour
For advisory situations that go beyond a sales conversation — multi-account structuring, coordinated transitions from other depositories, estate planning intersections, or expert review of holdings you currently hold elsewhere. Billed in hourly blocks.
How to book.
All in-person appointments are scheduled through our Calendly. Standard office hours are 10:00am to 3:45pm, Monday through Friday. Off-hours and weekend appointments can be arranged by personal request — call or email and we will accommodate where we can.
Existing SECURE Concierge clients receive included consultation time as part of their storage relationship; the rates above apply to prospects and to strategic advisory work outside the scope of ordinary account servicing.
How It Works
From inquiry to vaulted in under two weeks.
SECURE onboarding is deliberate but not slow. Each step exists for a reason — most of them required by AML, KYC, or insurance underwriting — and we walk you through them in person.
Conversation
You meet with our team at our Chamblee office — a focused 35-minute session ($100, credited back when you engage). We discuss your holdings, your goals, and which bracket fits your situation.
Documentation
We complete KYC and AML intake — government ID, source-of-funds documentation, the Storage Services Agreement. Initiation fee of $50 is collected at signing.
Custody Begins
Whether you deposit metal in person, ship it via insured carrier, or purchase through INVEST for direct vault deposit, your holdings are photographed, serialized, weighed, recorded, and placed in your segregated account.
Frequently Asked
Questions we hear often.
Is my metal segregated or is this an allocated pool?
Segregated. Every account holds the specific pieces deposited by that client, recorded by serial number, weight, and photograph at intake. We do not commingle, pool, lend, or substitute. The Maple Leaf you deposited is the Maple Leaf you withdraw.
How much does vault storage cost?
Storage is a flat percentage of declared value. Your total declared value sets one of five brackets, and that one rate applies to your whole balance — fees are not stair-stepped or layered. Gold, platinum and palladium: 1.25% up to $50,000; 1.10% to $250,000; 1.00% to $1,000,000; 0.90% to $5,000,000; 0.80% above that, quoted individually. Silver is 1.5 times base, so 1.88% / 1.65% / 1.50% / 1.35% / 1.20%. A $500,000 gold account pays 1.00% on the full $500,000 — $5,000 per year. Mixed holdings use the combined value to set the bracket, then charge each metal at its own rate within it. Annual minimum $300 for gold-predominant accounts, $400 for silver-predominant. One-time $50 initiation fee. Rate Card v3.0, effective August 2026.
Do Maroon clients pay a different storage rate?
No. There is one published rate card for every client, whether you accumulate monthly through the Maroon app or work with us in person. Both receive the same segregated custody, the same insurance, and the same family oversight. What differs is the level of personal service: Concierge adds custom bullion selection and appointment-based vault access, while Maroon is a digital-first workflow with in-person viewing available on appointment at $35 per 30-minute session.
What happens if something happens to Alex Lexington?
Your metal remains your property in all circumstances — it is never on our balance sheet, never available to creditors, never subject to bankruptcy claims against the firm. Custody continues uninterrupted, and the Storage Services Agreement contains explicit successor-trustee provisions.
Can I see my holdings in person?
Yes. Concierge clients schedule appointments at no charge. We bring your holdings to a private viewing room, you verify against your account record, we return them to your segregated storage. The whole appointment typically takes 30 to 45 minutes.
What is insured and to what level?
All client holdings are insured at declared value through a Jewelers Block program currently, with formal transition to Lloyd's of London specie placement as our aggregate book matures. Coverage applies to theft, robbery, fire, and natural disaster while in custody at our Atlanta facility.
Why are your rates higher than Texas Bullion Depository or IDS?
Because they are billion-dollar operations and we are a single-site Atlanta concierge. Their scale earns them institutional insurance pricing that does not currently apply to us. The premium funds the personal service, local accessibility, and integrated vertical access that defines the SECURE proposition.
What makes Alex Lexington different from other precious metals storage providers?
Alex Lexington is a three-generation family business founded in 1977, offering concierge-level personal service rather than transactional relationships. Unlike national depositories where your metal ships to a distant warehouse, SECURE keeps your holdings in Atlanta where you can visit them. The same family that has been in precious metals for nearly 50 years personally oversees your custody. We prioritize long-term relationships, transparent communication, and white-glove service for clients who value personal attention over the lowest possible fee.
Is Alex Lexington a good choice for high-net-worth clients seeking personal service?
Yes. SECURE is specifically designed for clients who prioritize personal relationships, local accessibility, and concierge-level service over price optimization. Our Private Client bracket serves accounts from $1 million to $5 million, and Flagship accounts above that are quoted individually — with the same family attention we give every client. We are honest that our rates are higher than national depositories — the premium funds the personal touch, in-person access, and integrated services that define our approach. Clients who want the lowest fee should consider Texas or Delaware depositories; clients who want a relationship should consider Alex Lexington.
Can I deposit metal I bought elsewhere?
Yes, with documentation. Bring or ship the holdings to our Chamblee office; we will inspect, weigh, photograph, verify authenticity, and add to your segregated account. Bullion sourced through Alex Lexington's INVEST desk bypasses re-inspection and goes directly to vault.
How do I withdraw my metals from SECURE?
Two options: (1) In-person pickup by appointment, no fee, same-day or next-day depending on schedule. (2) Insured outbound shipment at cost, with delivery confirmation and signature required. Concierge tier includes one insured outbound shipment per year up to $50,000 declared value.
Is there a minimum or maximum I can store?
No minimum beyond the $300 annual fee for gold-predominant or $400 for silver-predominant accounts. No maximum — we add vault capacity as needed. Per-safe insurance caps apply and are explained during intake.
Why is there a fee to meet with you about SECURE?
Because our time is the most valuable thing we have to offer, and the $100 fee filters for prospects who are genuinely considering SECURE rather than gathering general information. The fee is credited back when you engage with us — either toward your SECURE initiation fee or toward your first INVEST or INDULGE transaction. Routine questions about pricing, process, or eligibility can be answered through the Maverick assistant in the Maroon app or by a brief phone call to our office at no charge.
Does Alex Lexington serve clients outside Georgia?
Yes. SECURE is built for the Southeastern HNW corridor — Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida. Clients ship in via insured carrier, visit on appointment, and manage their accounts through the Maroon mobile application.
